CDG to Paris →No — the free Air France shuttle between CDG and Orly no longer exists. Les Cars Air France / Le Bus Direct stopped in 2020 and never returned. Today your real options are RER B + Metro 14 (75-100 min), a taxi (€80-110), or a pre-booked private transfer with flight tracking.
About 40 km separate the two airports — and no direct public link exists

For decades, Les Cars Air France (rebranded Le Bus Direct in 2016) ran coaches linking CDG, Orly and central Paris — including the famous Line 3 directly between the two airports. Many travellers also remember a free Air France connecting bus for passengers with same-ticket connections.
The entire service was suspended in spring 2020 and never resumed. Le Bus Direct is permanently closed. In 2026 there is no free shuttle, no Air France coach, and no direct public bus between CDG and Orly. Searches for "navette Air France" or "free CDG Orly shuttle" lead only to outdated pages.
Airlines treat CDG and Orly as separate airports with no protected connection. If you booked two separate tickets, a missed second flight is your problem — so build in margin:
With a pre-booked transfer, your confirmation states the exact arrivals meeting point at your CDG or Orly terminal. The driver follows your flight in real time, waits with a name sign, and direct phone/WhatsApp contact is shared for the day — critical when a tight connection depends on it. No. Les Cars Air France / Le Bus Direct is permanently closed. Air France provides no inter-airport bus, even for its own passengers. Check your booking conditions if you have a same-ticket connection.
Public transport: RER B + Metro 14, roughly €25 in combined airport fares and 75-100 minutes. Cheapest, but with 1-2 changes, stairs and rush-hour crowds.
By road outside rush hour: taxi or pre-booked private transfer, 50-80 minutes terminal to terminal. A pre-booked transfer adds a fixed price and flight tracking, which matters for connections.
No. Every rail route passes through central Paris (RER B + Metro 14, or Orlyval via Antony). No direct CDG-Orly rail link exists in 2026.
Plan at least 4 hours between scheduled landing and the next departure: transfer time (1h30-2h), baggage reclaim, and the second airport's check-in cut-off.
Public-transport routes and fares were checked against the official Île-de-France Mobilités network information and Paris Aéroport access pages. Le Bus Direct's closure dates from 2020 and the service has not resumed. Fares and timetables change; verify before travel.
